FAQs:
-
Where to plant agastache
Agastache originate from the dry, stony plains of North America, so these plants are going to thrive in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. If your soil is quite heavy, we recommend cutting it slightly with some horticultural grit pre-planting. A little mulch before winter sets in can help protect roots through to spring. -
Agastache companion plants
Agastache pairs well with other late-flowering, sun-loving plants like echinacea, rudbeckia and dahlia – as well as with shorter, clump-forming plants and ornamental grasses. Border, bed or container? You choose – your agastache plants will look great in mixed and herbaceous borders as well as in pots. -
Growing agastache
We really hope you enjoy growing your J.Parker's agastache plants. They’re reasonably easy to care for – as long as they have good drainage. Give them plenty of water to get them established and deadhead to extend the flowering season. Let the foliage die off before you cut them back – wait until spring if you can.
