Cyclamen Cilicium
OUT OF STOCK
Cyclamen appear at a time when most other flowers are looking more than sorry for themselves. Cyclamen Cilicium brings a boost of pale to mid pink to window boxes and borders, each slender stem carrying a carefully furled bud that unwraps into a beautiful flower with shell-shaped petals, on a pretty carpet of heart-shaped marbled leaves. We recommend creating a woodland look in your garden, by planting Cyclamen at the base of a deciduous tree such as the Betula Jacquemontii (Birch Tree) with evergreen ferns and other shade-tolerant companions. While the Cyclamen is in dormancy, the fronds of ferns will create interest. The glistening white flowers of the Snowdrop accentuate the markings of the Cyclamen leaves. 13-15cm bulbs supplied. Flowers August to October. Height 8-12cm.

Cyclamen corms can be planted at approx 5cm deep and 15cm apart, in fertile well drained soil. They prefer to be located in areas that are fairly sheltered.
They are perfect for naturalising if left undisturbed. They often take time to establish themselves in new environments and may not necessarily flower in the first year. Apply a leaf mulch annually to help protect from frost.
