Carex testacea, also known as Prairie Fire, is a stunning evergreen perennial grass with green leaves that are tipped with a brilliant bright orange. The foliage turns a darker burnt orange in autumn and produces brown flower spikes in summer. A great addition to the garden where the grass can be planted in direct sunlight and shaded spots in patio pots, containers or even in borders where it will provide a colourful contrast. Flowering time from July to August. Height and spread 50cm. 9cm pot plants supplied.
