Product Description

Kale (Cavolo Nero) is a classic crop that produces dark green kale through September to February. This variety is highly resistant to cold and takes just 30 days to produce baby leaves. The plant will even produce baby flowers, which can be left for bees! Sow inside from Feb-May and August-September or directly outside from March-June.

Growing at a glance…

Propogate by seed in early spring to early summer. Sow 1-2cm deep and the same apart in rows apart. Thin seedlings to 5-10cm apart which can be transplanted or eaten. Kale germinates best in cool or slightly warm soil that's well moistened. Sow seeds inside from February to May or August to September as long as they're kept under cover over winter. Sow outside from March to June.
