Planting

Plant in a hole the same depth as the container, with room for the roots to develop/expand.

Soil Type

Moist, well-drained soil

Avoid planting in early spring or late winter, as Magnolias are incredibly sensitive to the cold and it will damage your plant before it's even had the chance to grow. Grow in areas that reach plenty of sunlight. Dig a hole thats bigger and deeper than the container it comes in by a few centimetres. Give a water when finished and ensure you water through warmer months. Add mulch when finished to help retain moisture.
