Product Description
Aconitum Arendsii, also known as Monkshood, is a superb perennial variety that produces dark purple flowers in autumn. They can grow up to 1.5 metres, which makes them perfect for a mid or back of the border position! Although they flower in autumn, they provide foliage from spring, adding much-needed colour to your displays for months on end.
All parts of Aconitum are highly toxic. Please wear gloves when handling. Do not ingest, or touch with bare hands.

Growing at a glance…
Plant in full sun or in partial shade. They will thrive in moist and relatively fertile soil. Soak for 2-3 hours before planting and pop into their desired spot in the garden. To plant loose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for 1-3 hours before planting, then dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. Firm in gently and water well. They may need staking. Add a layer of mulch to help them retain moisture.
