Madeleine Sylvaner is one of the most popular and edible white grapes available. This popular variety are excellent climbing plants that reach heights of 2m. Producing delicious fruit during the autumn that can be eaten fresh, used within desserts or used to make wine. Clusters of pretty white flowers begin to flourish from June that create a showy display within the garden; these then give way to plentiful amounts of juicy fruit. The plants can be grown within the garden border or planted in containers for those with smaller gardens. We recommend planting in a sheltered, sunny location or greenhouse where they are sure to thrive. Supplied in a P9 pot, ready to plant out on arrival with a little organic matter.

Prune in winter to keep at a manageable height and again in mid summer if necessary. May require formal training.The Vitis (Grape) vines can be grown in well drained neutral or slightly alkali humus rich soil. They prefer to be located in a sunny position or in light shade.
