Iris Germanica, or large flowering bearded Iris are a firm favourite in the Great British border. These hardy perennials produce an ever increasing green foliage and bold exotic flowers. They can be grown in any normal to wet soil and are ideally placed in full sun. Try planting at the base of a sunny wall or as an attention grabbing addition to banks, slopes or borders. The Gala Madrid has wonderful rich wine purple with black/brown lower petals. First grade loose roots supplied.
