Product Description
Celebrate an anniversary in style with Rose Ruby Wedding, a sweetly fragrant Hybrid Tea Rose producing sumptuous, velvety blooms of rich ruby-red. Whilst romantic bouquets will wilt and fade over time, the Ruby Wedding Rose, when planted, will flower faithfully year after year for continued enjoyment. As with other Hybrid Tea varieties, the loosely reflexing flower heads of the Rose are suspended atop tall, single stems and surrounded by lustrous, glossy foliage. We recommend planting close to a patio or path where its elaborate, decorative shape and delicate aroma can be fully appreciated throughout the summer months from June to September. Top-quality two-year-old bare rooted plants supplied. Please note: Fragrant rose's perfume is usually the most potent on warm, sunny days, while sat in moist soil. Its important to imitate these conditions, as it will release the fragrant chemicals within the flowers. High humidity increases the longevity of the fragrance as it reduces the chance of the chemicals evaporating.

Growing at a glance…
Roses should be planted firmly, to ensure that wind will not disrupt the roots. Apply a balanced fertiliser every 3-4 weeks in the spring/summer, and apply a mulch in the winter for protection. Can be pruned back to remove any dead wood or growth. It is best to plant roses in winter or early spring, provided there is little frost. To prepare your bare rose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for an hour to 24 hours (longer in spring). Then, dig a hole large enough to house the roots when fully outspread. Distribute the roots evenly around the hole and put in a little bit of fine soil to which has been added a small amount of bonemeal. Fill in with the rest of the soil over the roots and tread in firmly. The depth of planting roses will vary between 10-20cm, or as deep as they were in their pots.
