Cactus Dahlias produce fully double pointed petals which turn backwards to create a tubular effect. These unusual spiky flowers are a delightful sight in the summer border, where they will catch the deep, glistening purple/pink flowers. The versatility of these Dahlias makes them ideal for growing in either your garden border or in pots around the patio. Supplied as first grade tubers, with each tuber producing masses of flowers from June-September. Height 1m.

Growing at a glance…
Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
