Specially treated at low temperatures in July/August to trick them to believe that winter has been and gone and it is time to grow. With the correct care these prepared Hyacinths can be in flower as early as Christmas. The stunning result is worth the effort, producing large bell like flower heads tightly packed with red star shaped flowers framed in forest green curved spears of foliage. The rich blooms and intoxicating fragrance will bring a longed for reminder of summer during those cold winter months. Supplied as 16/17cm circumference bulbs.

Supplied as 16-18cm hyacinth bulbs.

For indoor cultivation of prepared or top sized hyacinth bulbs you should plant in fibre, and keep in a cool dark cupboard for 6-8 weeks. Water when required to ensure that the fibre is not allowed to dry out. The cooler they are stored, the longer the bulbs will last. They can be taken into the room and placed in daylight only when the roots have been well established and buds appear.
