Asclepias Tuberosa, otherwise known as the 'Butterfly Weed' is a dramatic and vibrant variety of milkweed guaranteed to attract interest to the summer garden, not to mention bees and butterflies! From June to September, the Milkweed Plant produces lance shaped foliage and striking, flat-topped clusters of small, startlingly orange blooms atop stiff, robust branches. These can even be used as treillage to support weaker close growing plants, making Asclepias Tuberosa a versatile addition to any bed or border. Growing up to a height of 40 to 60 cm, this fantastic perennial plant is sure to create a striking display during the summer months. First grade loose roots supplied.
