Product Description
Ignite your garden with the vibrant hues of our Astilbe ‘Vision Inferno’. This distinctive variety sends up dense plumes of blush-pink flowers that gradually shift to soft cream. These airy blooms sit above coarse, textured foliage that grounds the planting with structure and depth. Its evolving tones offer a smouldering presence through late summer.
Growing to around 60 cm tall, ‘Vision Inferno’ thrives in partial to full shade and moist, humus-rich soil. It performs particularly well in heavier soils where other Astilbes may struggle, and benefits from consistent moisture to maintain its bold display. The foliage is coarser than other varieties, adding tactile contrast even after the flower spikes have faded.
This variety’s upright habit makes it ideal for layered planting in shaded borders, alongside bold-leaved perennials such as Rodgersia or Ligularia, or to soften the edges of damp pathways. The robust growth and subtle colour shifts of ‘Vision Inferno’ also suit more naturalistic or woodland-style schemes.

Growing at a glance…
Astilbes are often chosen for borders due to their gorgeous colour and short stature. If clumps become too large for the space, you can divide and replant in fresh soil in Autumn. Plant in well dug, prepared soil, and add a little manure or organic matter if possible. Astilbes thrive in damp locations, particularly at the edge of a pond, but are also great for containers or borders. Soak roots in a bucket of water for 2-3 hours before planting. Dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. Firm in gently and water well.
