Product Description
Azalea japonica White fills spring gardens with pure, trumpet-shaped blooms from April to May. Its flowers, pristine and bright, open in dense clusters that seem to glow amid the shrub’s shiny, deep green foliage. Such contrast emphasises the plant’s tidy form and seasonal charm.
This compact, evergreen shrub thrives in moist, acidic, humus-rich soil and is especially suited to light woodland gardens, sheltered borders or containers. It adapts to loam, chalk or sandy soils, provided they drain well and remain moist. Preferring dappled shade, it avoids harsh sun to protect its delicate flowers.
Growing to about 75-100 cm in height and spread, Azalea White offers seasonal colour alongside year-round structure in the garden.
We recommend pairing it with other acid-loving plants such as Rhododendrons or Ferns to create a layered, pollinator-friendly woodland display.
