Growing at a glance…

Seeds can be sown indoors or in an unheated greenhouse from March onwards. If you prefer sowing seeds indoors, use modules if possible, as this will help you later on when it comes to transplantation. Transplant outdoors in their preferred growing position once all risk of frost has passed. If you decide to sow seeds directly outdoors, thinly sow them 1cm deep in neat rows, giving a space of 30cm between each row. When seedlings become large enough to handle, separate them till they're 8cm apart. Successive sowings each month allows for harvest up until the early Autumn.
