Product Description
Buddleja Royal Red is a large deciduous shrub with long arching branches of lance shaped leaves tipped with long slender panicles of flowers. The leaves are green, whitish underneath, the flowers a rich plummy-red. A must have addition for a wildlife friendly gardener, the highly fragrant flowers will encourage all manner of bees and butterflies into your garden. This Buddleia (also known as Butterfly Bush) Royal Red can reach up to 2-2.5m when fully mature but can be pruned back hard for a smaller size to suite any garden. It holds the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit for its reliable performance, stability of colour and form and good resistance to pests and diseases.

Growing at a glance…
Dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. If planting in pots, fill a large pot halfway with potting soil and then make a well in the middle. Do this until the top of the soil from the plant is just below the top of the pot. Wedge in the plant by adding soil to the gaps in the hole, firming down the surface to ensure it’s in place, and water well.
