Product Description

Dicentra 'Candy Hearts' is a wonderful variety of Bleeding Hearts that will produce swaying sprays of pink heart-shaped flowers that contrast well against the blue-green bushy foliage below. Easy to grow, these beautiful flowers begin to flourish in April through to June attracting pollinators such as butterflies into the garden. An ideal choice for adding to the front of garden borders as these pretty arched flowers grow to a height of 30cm, they can also brighten up patio containers for gardens with less space or be used to create cheerful flower arrangements for within the home. We recommend planting in partially shaded areas of the garden in fertile, well-drained soil where they will thrive. First grade loose roots are supplied.

Growing at a glance…

Slugs may cause some damage to dicentra plants if you dont take some precautions (such as slug pellets). Plant in any fertile and well drained garden soil and position them in full sun or partial shade. To plant loose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for 1-3 hours before planting, then dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. Firm in gently and water well.
