Product Description
Eryngium Big Blue is a clump forming deciduous perennial, which is hardy in most U.K. conditions as long as it is planted in free draining soil.
We recommend planting in an area which receives full sun, to prolong the flowering period. Highly attractive to bees and butterflies, Eryngium Big Blue is also drought resistant.
Also known as 'Sea Holly’, Eryngium are perfect for coastal gardens – they are hardy enough to cope in exposed conditions.

Growing at a glance…
Cut back eryngiums when their blooms begin to fade, as this will help encourage future growth. Plant in well-dug and prepared soil. Protect them from excessive winter wet. Ideal for planting in containers and front of border displays. To plant, dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the entire root ball. Do this until the top of the soil from the module is just below the top of the pot. Fill around the modules with soil and firm them down gently. Water well.
