Growing at a glance…
Eucomis can be grown in most soil types, provided it is relatively fertile, well-drained, and will get plenty of sun. Plant bulbs at least 15cm deep to keep them safe from cold weather. In poor winters, apply a mulch to help protect plants from severe frosts. Water freely when in full flower. Ensure it's planted in an area that reaches full sun and isn't overshadowed by other plants as it may struggle to grow.
