Growing at a glance…
Start seeds indoors 3 to 4 weeks before the last spring frost, often around May. If you prefer, sow seeds directly outside after all danger of frost has passed thinly atop the soil. When seedlings are 5-7cm tall, thin into individual pots. Replant thinned plants. Protect from Snails and Slugs while young by using copper tape or a fine grit around the base of the plant. Gradually harden them off before planting out once the danger of frost has passed.
