Product Description
Heliopsis Bleeding Hearts offers striking daisy-like flowers from July to the first frost. They first appear as a vivid red, but then soften to orange before becoming bronze as the autumn progresses. All this set against a backdrop of beautiful dark purple foliage.
As with other Heliopsis varieties, Bleeding Hearts will grow to over 100cm and is well suited at the back of a sunny border, but can also make a statement if planted in a large pot. Hardy in the U.K. down to temperatures between -15 and -20, just ensure the plant has good drainage. It is also listed on the RHS Plants for Pollinators.
We recommend leaving Heliopsis Bleeding Hearts for a couple of years before dividing. An important process for all herbaceous perennials, but vital with this variety to maintain vigour.
