Product Description
An outstanding Hosta, 'Patriot' produces eye-catching green foliage with contrasting showy creamy-white edges. A low maintenance but hardy perennial, this is a great Hosta variety for adding character and makes an excellent ground cover plant for garden borders. They are also sure to create a talking-point if planted within patio containers where they will reach a height of 30cm. During the summer from July to August, beautiful bell-shaped pale lilac flowers begin to bloom, standing on sturdy stems above the bushy foliage. In the right position and with a little feeding this is a rapidly growing perennial which will get fuller and lusher as it matures. Although it prefers more shaded areas, Hosta are a versatile plant and can be grown in all areas of the garden. First grade loose roots supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Water well after planting and regularly in their first growing season. Mulch annually in spring with a good layer of leaf mound or garden compost around the plant. Slugs love hostas so you will need to protect against them. Plant straight away on arrival in any fertile, well drained soil. These are young plants, so please leave in small pots for 5 to 6 weeks and then pot on into a larger 1.5 - 2 litre pot, or plant into final spot.
