Product Description

We have put together an amazing mix of Hybrid Tea Roses! These Roses produce sophisticated, slightly frilled double blooms that sit on tall, single stems and are surrounded by lustrous green foliage. They look great when cut as part of a display to be enjoyed within the home or planted along the front of garden borders or patio containers where their charming sweet fragrance can be enjoyed. Flowering from June to September, these eye-catching HT roses will reach a mature height of 90cm where they can be planted individually but make a colourful feature when contrasting colours are planted alongside each other. Top-quality two-year-old bare rooted plants are supplied. Please note: Fragrant rose's perfume is usually the most potent on warm, sunny days, while sat in moist soil. Its important to imitate these conditions, as it will release the fragrant chemicals within the flowers. High humidity increases the longevity of the fragrance as it reduces the chance of the chemicals evaporating.

Planting Notes

Planting Plant in a hole large enough to take the roots when fully outspread.
Soil Type Fertile, humus rich and well drained soil

Growing at a glance…

Roses should be planted firmly, to ensure that wind will not disrupt the roots. Apply a balanced fertiliser every 3-4 weeks in the spring/summer, and apply a mulch in the winter for protection. Can be pruned back to remove any dead wood or growth. It is best to plant roses in winter or early spring, provided there is little frost. To prepare your bare rose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for an hour to 24 hours (longer in spring). Then, dig a hole large enough to house the roots when fully outspread. Distribute the roots evenly around the hole and put in a little bit of fine soil to which has been added a small amount of bonemeal. Fill in with the rest of the soil over the roots and tread in firmly. The depth of planting roses will vary between 10-20cm, or as deep as they were in their pots.
