Product Description
Floribunda Roses are known for providing beautiful clusters of large flowers on one study stem with deciduous glossy green foliage below. 'Iceberg' is one of the worlds best known varieties with their snow-white blooms that have the faintest hint of pink at the base of each petal. Suspended amongst compact, light green glossy foliage, slender canes are strong but supple and will wave elegantly in a summer breeze moving the Icebergs sweet fragrance around the garden. A rose with a long history, it was proclaimed the World's favourite Rose of 1983 and holds an Award of Garden Merit from 1958. This wonderful Rose will flower form June through to September where they can be planted individually or alongside contrasting colours of Floribunda to create more of a feature within garden borders or patio containers. They can also make a lovely floral arrangement to be enjoyed indoors. Top-quality two-year-old rose bare rooted plants are supplied. Please note: Fragrant rose's perfume is usually the most potent on warm, sunny days, while sat in moist soil. Its important to imitate these conditions, as it will release the fragrant chemicals within the flowers. High humidity increases the longevity of the fragrance as it reduces the chance of the chemicals evaporating.

Growing at a glance…
Roses should be planted firmly, to ensure that wind will not disrupt the roots. Apply a balanced fertiliser every 3-4 weeks in the spring/summer, and apply a mulch in the winter for protection. Can be pruned back to remove any dead wood or growth. It is best to plant roses in winter or early spring, provided there is little frost. To prepare your bare rose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for an hour to 24 hours (longer in spring). Then, dig a hole large enough to house the roots when fully outspread. Distribute the roots evenly around the hole and put in a little bit of fine soil to which has been added a small amount of bonemeal. Fill in with the rest of the soil over the roots and tread in firmly. The depth of planting roses will vary between 10-20cm, or as deep as they were in their pots.
