Product Description

Salvia Nachtvindler is a bushy tender perennial, producing delicate dark plum flowers over a long flowering season (summer through to late autumn).

Whilst this salvia variety is not as hardy as others, it will still withstand temperatures of -10 to -15, which would cover most winters in the U.K. All salvias dislike sitting in wet ground for too long over the weekend, so ensure the plant has good drainage.

Gaining popularity over the past few years, Salvia Nachtvindler works well as a statement plant in pots, or can be utilised as part of a border display, even used as under planting for some larger shrubs. As with most salvias, noted as an RHS plant for pollinators, Nachtvindler is a magnet for bees. Winner of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Growing at a glance…

Pot grown plants are bigger than our modules or plugs. We grow them until they produce foliage, allowing you to plant them directly outdoors on arrival. Their mature state means that they will flower faster than smaller plants, giving you plants sooner than if you had started them from scratch at home. Perfect for any flower bed, border or container this season. Water when their soil feels dry to touch, particularly in warm bouts of weather in the early morning or late evening once the sun has set.
