Product Description
This Mini Woven Willow Wand is hand crafted from nine living willow stems to create a symmetrical woven stem. They’re easy to plant, and need very minimal care after doing so. Simply plant it and then water it! This plant won’t grow taller than it is when it arrives, but it will grow a gorgeous topiary crown. Perfect for smaller containers and front borders. Wondering which way up to plant these plants? A good tip is to make sure the buds on the willow are pointing to the sky! 16cm wand stem supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Plant your wand, if possible, on arrival. If you’re unable to plant them when they arrive, you can keep them in 10cm of water in a shaded spot outdoors for a maximum of 3-4 days. Once the roots reach 2cm, they need to be planted. Leave on the plastic tie at the bottom of the wand - removing this will unfurl the wand, losing the intricate design. Plant directly outside into soil about 15cm. This may vary based on the size of the wand. For smaller wands, plant slightly less. For larger wands, plant slightly deeper. Firm in well and saturate with water. Water them daily as they will be thirsty for the first 3-4 weeks. Make sure the soil around the base of the stem is always moist. After they have established from their second season, they will only need watering on warm summer days. Plant with 1 metre distance from obstructions to ensure they get plenty of sunlight and rain. If planting in containers, follow the same instructions as above. You may find that container-grown plants need more water, as they drain faster. Feed with a general-purpose fertiliser about 2-3 months after planting.
