Bring a look of the tropics to boring borders and plain patios this summer. Elegantly curving white spathes fade to a spring green at the floral chamber, which is held up by succulent tube-like stems adorned with broad, wavy foliage. Boasting fabulous blooms and a long flowering period from May to October, this white Calla Lily is a must-have. Preferring well-drained soil in a full or half sun location, Zantedeschia are impressive additions to outdoor gardens with their distinctive funnel-shaped blossoms. They also make excellent cut flowers. We recommend accompanying the Zantedeschia Aethiopica with low-growing plants to provide filling foliage over the base areas and covering up those thin stems. Anything that provides fullness and has a shallow root system serves best - try the Astilbe for a good spread. Zantedeschia aethiopica are the most hardy variety, but will still need protection from the worst of the winter weather. Height 70/80cm. 12-14cm bulbs supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Plant your Zantedeschia bulbs in spring between March and May, or in autumn between September to December avoiding any frosts. Keep well-watered throughout its growing season, especially if the soil feels dry to touch. Dig a hole at least twice the bulbs depth and space each bulb around 30-40cm apart. This is due to their wide leaves and need more space to grow than a typical bulb.
