Product Description

Camellias are eye-catching Japanese shrubs with an upright, bushy, compact and vigorous habit. They can grow up to 2m tall. All three of the varieties in this Camellia collection produce masses of double flowers up to 3-4 inches (7-10cm) in diameter from April-May. The blooms contrast beautifully with the evergreen foliage of oval, glossy, dark green leaves. Excellent for adding to mixed shrub borders, as hedging or even for growing in large containers. Includes one each of Lady Campbell (red), Brushfield's Yellow (white/creamy yellow) and Debbie (sugary pink). 9cm pot grown plants supplied.

Growing at a glance…

Camellia particularly dislike being exposed to windy conditions or water logged areas. Pruning of camellias is not always necessary but can be sniped back annually if necessary, after flowering has finished. You must water regularly during hot summers/dry period. Can be planted in fertile, moist and humus rich soil. Do not make the mistake of planting too deep, so make sure the top of the roots are level with the soil.
