'Timperley Early' is a delicious variety of rhubarb plant that is high yielding producing tart, sweet flesh within deep red stems accompanied with large green leaves. Preferring areas of direct sunlight, this popular variety can be planted in the garden borders or allotments where the they can be harvested as early as February and reach a mature height of 50cm. Rhubarb is a popular and traditional choice in desserts such as pies and crumbles or even within preserves due to its unique taste. First grade, open ground crowns supplied.

Rhubarb is the easiest yet most rewarding fruit to grow in the garden. Our strong crowns should be planted 75cm apart. After the first season they will be ready to crop. Divide every 4/5 years and give your surplus crowns to friends or familyPlant in any reasonable garden soil that is well drained. Plant at approx 75cm apart and deep enough so that the tip of the crown is at soil level.
