When to Plant

These perennials are best planted is in the spring, usually from March to May time. Ensure they’re planted in well-drained soil, ideally in beds and borders for plenty of colour throughout the summer months.

Planning out your Collection

Wondering what to plant where? These ground cover perennials will look fantastic in the border, at the edge of a walkway, or even in a container. It’s not necessary to plant them all together, especially if you want splashes of colour to appear around the whole garden. Plant alongside any summer-flowering bulbs and perennials for a sensational seasonal display.

How to Plant

Depending on the time of year, you can find plenty of ground cover plants that will accentuate your borders and add a much-needed pop of colour throughout any season. To plant, prep the area by pulling out any weeds and breaking up the soil with a fork.

Our ground cover perennials collection arrives in module form, needing little effort to plant. Simply dig a decent-sized hole where you'd like them to grow, pop it in and cover with soil.

Ground Cover Weed Control

There is a garden philosophy: If you like it, it’s a flower; if you don’t, it’s a weed. It’s hard to have compassion for weeds, but they’re just plants growing in places where they’re not wanted.

One way to stop them in their tracks is to grow bedding and ground cover plants! Their spreading habit suffocates the ability for any weed to grow, allowing you to enjoy your display without any worries about pesky weeds.
