The varieties in this striking Ilex Ornamental Ilex Collection provides colourful evergreens produce striking red berries from December through to February where birds in particular will enjoy them during the sparse winter months. We recommend planting these compact shrubs in areas of sun or partial shade in well-drained, fertile soil where they will flourish. The collection includes one of each variety: Ilex Aquifolium Golden Van Tol (Height 2.5-4m), Ilex Blue Prince (2.5-4m), Ilex Argentea Marginata (up to 12m) and Ilex Blue Angel (1.5-2.5m). Can be pruned to size required. 9cm pot grown plants supplied.

They are perfect for rockery displays or as part of all year round borders. They will produce berries in winter. Plant in ground 1-1.2m apart with the male in the background, out of sight but functional. Ideally suited if planted to create a boundary hedge.Can be planted in most garden soils, as long as it is relatively well drained. Are suitable for planting in either full sun or partial shade. Apply some peat when planting.
