Product Description

Dainty golden yellow semi-spherical bell like flowers. A brilliant addition to the summer garden suitable for beds, borders and rockeries. It holds the prestigious Award of Garden Merit. Their beautiful narrow blue-green leaves will soon wither as the flowers appear in early summer so we recommend accompanying them with low-growing plants to provide filling foliage over the base areas and covering up any untidy leaves and lend extra support to its fine stems. Height 40cm. Flowers June-July. Top quality/grade bulbs supplied.

Planting Plant three to four times their own depth
Soil Type Fertile, well drained soil.

Growing at a glance…

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil at approx 10cm apart and at a depth of roughly 3-4 times the size of the bulb. Larger bulbs should be spaced 20cm apart. Leave untouched for a number of years until the bulbs have multiplied and divide if necessary. Smaller alliums can be grown in containers, but ensure it's large enough to space the bulbs an appropriate distance apart.
