Lavender Hidcote is traditional, evergreen, hardy fragrant Lavender. This must be one of the nation's best known varieties of English lavender; it has robust deep blue/purple flowers, with plump flower heads and grey-green foliage. It is ideal planted as a low growing hedge or by a pathway, somewhere its fragrance can be appreciated as you brush past. The flower-spikes are highly attractive to bees and other nectar-loving insects. Height 60-80cm. UK grown 3cm jumbo plug plants supplied.

Lavender can tolerate most types of soil, providing that it is relatively fertile and well drained. Locate in a sunny place to get the best of them, and are suitable for pots, borders or even rockeries. Pot on in to a 15cm (6'') pot for 4-6 weeks then plant outdoors in final position.
Carefully trim back in April. Flowers can be dried for potpourri.
