Product Description
Agapanthus ‘Twister’ delivers a swirling burst of colour to summer displays. From July to September, large, rounded umbels of trumpet-shaped flowers with deep blue throats and crisp white petal tips rise on short, sturdy stems above clumps of deciduous, narrow dark green foliage. Holder of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Growing to around 50 cm tall, ‘Twister’ is ideal for sunny borders, patio containers or mixed perennial beds. Its neat habit and profuse flowering bring both vibrancy and architectural appeal to a variety of garden settings. Noted for its strong stem structure, ‘Twister’ withstands wind better than most other Agapanthus plants. Its compact size also makes it perfect for smaller garden spaces or urban balconies.
Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, ‘Twister’ performs reliably while attracting valuable pollinators such as bees and butterflies. For an attractive contrast, pair it with silvery foliage plants such as wormwood or lavender to highlight its vibrant flowers and add textural interest.

Growing at a glance…
Our agapanthus potted plants can be grown directly outside in the border or into a container on arrival. Dig a hole that’s big enough to house the root system in your desired planting spot, at the same depth as they are in their pot. Wedge the plant in by adding soil to the gaps left, firming the plant down gently to ensure it’s in place. These perennials will flower from early summer through to mid-autumn. Mulch well with compost or organic matter for winter protection. Position in full sun or partial shade.
