A giant variety with intense purple compact globe-like flowers measuring up to 18cm across. Ambassador has a brilliant long flowering time in June-July, followed by attractive seed heads that continue through the summer months. Its beautiful curled green leaves will wither before the flowers appear in early summer so we recommend accompanying them with low-growing plants to provide filling foliage over the base areas and covering up those stems. Height 120cm. Giant 20cm+ bulbs supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Plant in fertile, well-drained soil at approx 10cm apart and at a depth of roughly 3-4 times the size of the bulb. Larger bulbs should be spaced 20cm apart. Leave untouched for a number of years until the bulbs have multiplied and divide if necessary. Smaller alliums can be grown in containers, but ensure it's large enough to space the bulbs an appropriate distance apart.
