Product Description

The Allium Giant Flowered Mix delivers a spectacular mix of large, globe-shaped blooms in rich purples and violets that bring height and drama to any late spring or early summer garden. Each flower, made up of tiny star-shaped florets, can measure up to 15 cm across and is held high on strong stems reaching up to 1.2 metres tall.

These striking plants thrive in well-drained soil and full sun, making them a standout choice for borders, cottage gardens and naturalistic planting schemes. Their bold, architectural flowers attract bees and butterflies, adding life and movement to your outdoor space.

Plant these alliums in groups for the greatest impact, or pair with softer, fragrant plants like lavender or nepeta to balance structure with delicate texture. They also make stunning cut flowers, bringing a touch of garden elegance inside your home.

We guarantee our great value mixture packs contain a comprehensive blend of variety and colours. By definition, the components of the mixtures are not labelled/named on arrival.

Growing at a glance…

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil at approx 10cm apart and at a depth of roughly 3-4 times the size of the bulb. Larger bulbs should be spaced 20cm apart. Leave untouched for a number of years until the bulbs have multiplied and divide if necessary. Smaller alliums can be grown in containers, but ensure it's large enough to space the bulbs an appropriate distance apart.
