Product Description
Allium Purple Sensation produces tight fist size heads of vivid purple. Plant in clumps anywhere in the border. They are best left undisturbed where they will naturalise and multiply. Its attractive curled green leaves will wither before the flowers appear in early summer so we recommend accompanying them with low-growing perennials to provide filling foliage over the base areas. Holds an Award of Garden Merit. Height 80cm. Flowers May-June. 10/12cm circumference bulbs supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Plant in fertile, well-drained soil at approx 10cm apart and at a depth of roughly 3-4 times the size of the bulb. Larger bulbs should be spaced 20cm apart. Leave untouched for a number of years until the bulbs have multiplied and divide if necessary. Smaller alliums can be grown in containers, but ensure it's large enough to space the bulbs an appropriate distance apart.
