Product Description
Commonly known as the African mask plant, Alocasia x amazonica is a compact houseplant prized for its striking tropical foliage. Its dark-green, arrow-shaped leaves have distinctive wavy edges and prominent pale veins, creating a dramatic contrast that makes this smaller Alocasia an impressive focal point. Growing to around 30–60cm tall, its neat stature is particularly well suited to shelves, side tables and smaller spaces.
With its tropical parentage, Alocasia x amazonica enjoys the warmth and humidity of kitchens and bathrooms, as well as bright living spaces away from strong direct sunlight. During the warmer growing season, fresh leaves emerge to build its bold display, with growth naturally slowing through the cooler winter months.

Growing at a glance…
Water lightly, allowing the soil to dry out a bit between watering. If the top two inches of soil is dry, it's time to water! Avoid direct sunlight, but can tolerate bright or semi-shaded areas of your home. Place the plant near an east- or north-facing window where it gets gentle, filtered sun. Rotate on a regular basis by turning the pot every week or two so all sides receive balanced light and the plant does not lean.
