Growing at a glance…
Aubergine seeds take roughly 10-20 days to germinate once sown. Ensure they're kept somewhere warm, like a heated greenhouse or sunny windowsill. Sow 2 seeds per pot in early spring and cover them with a light layer of soil. Move outside into their growing position once all threat of frost has passed. These seeds don't tolerate the cold. Provide support when necessary. Pick fruits before their surface shine fades to encourage new growth.
