Product Description

This British Grown Daffodil Collection combines Narcissus ‘Sir Winston Churchill’, ‘Slim Whitman’ and ‘Kerensa’, spanning double and trumpet forms that extend flowering across early to mid-spring. It moves from densely petalled blooms through crisp cup structure into fuller doubles while maintaining a cohesive seasonal palette.

‘Sir Winston Churchill’ produces layered ivory petals with warm orange centres, forming a densely filled double head. ‘Slim Whitman’ contrasts with a clean white perianth and a sharply defined golden cup, giving a clear trumpet outline within the group. ‘Kerensa’ carries the sequence into softer territory with creamy double flowers, its rounded form creating a more diffuse finish to the collection.

Reaching around 40 cm tall, these Narcissi perform best in full sun or light shade in free-draining soil, where they establish a consistent spring presence in mixed planting schemes. They associate well with Tulipa for extended bulb succession, while Muscari provides low-level contrast; later, Nepeta and ornamental grasses maintain continuity through foliage texture and seasonal movement into summer.

Growing at a glance…

Daffodils (or narcissi) are both easy to grow and incredibly reliable. Like many bulbs, it takes very little time to plant them. Remove any weeds in the area you'd like to plant your bulbs and dig at the soil to aerate it. Fork in some organic matter to improve the drainage and soil structure. Daffodils prefer sunny spots and well-drained soil, so keep this in mind when planting. Plant each bulb 2-3 times the bulbs height and place it with the shoot facing upwards. Space them twice their width apart. Cover with soil and water if the ground is dry.
