Product Description

Camassia Blue Heaven brings striking vertical interest to late spring gardens with tall spikes of vibrant, star-shaped blue flowers standing above slender, grass-like foliage. Growing to around 60 cm tall, it creates a serene and elegant accent that suits naturalistic borders, cottage gardens and wildlife-friendly plantings.

Thriving in well-drained, humus-rich soil and preferring full sun to light shade, this camassia variety flowers from late spring into early summer. Its nectar-rich blooms attract bees and butterflies, supporting pollinators and enhancing biodiversity while adding lively movement to your garden.

We suggest planting Blue Heaven in groups for the best natural drift effect, or combining it with soft pastel perennials to create a harmonious and tranquil planting scheme. This reliable perennial offers lasting colour and texture, making it a favourite for gardeners seeking subtle charm and ecological benefits.

A true quiet achiever, Blue Heaven quietly elevates any garden without demanding the spotlight - perfect for those who appreciate understated beauty with a purpose.

Growing at a glance…

Camassia bulbs should be planted at least 10cm deep in fertile, well-drained, humus rich soil. Once planted, the bulbs can be left undisturbed for a couple of years to naturalise. Ensure there is good drainage in the soil and avoid the area becoming water-logged by over watering throughout the season. In areas of extreme cold in winter, it is always a good idea to apply some mulch as protection, like bark or a couple of cm of soil.
