Carrot Purple Dragon is, as you can tell by its name, a purple carrot type that is orange in the middle. Has a sweet and spicy flavour, perfect for gardeners or cooks that are after something a bit different. Grow in your allotment or kitchen garden, perhaps in a raised bed.

Growing at a glance…

Till the bed deeply when the soil is dry. Sow the seeds directly outside into shallow holes and cover lightly with soil. Carrots do not transplant well, so sowing directly outdoors is always advised. Thin seedlings carefully to 2cm apart, watering beforehand to avoid disturbing nearby roots. Grow crops under horticultural fleece to avoid carrot fly attacks. Will mature roughly 68 days from germination.
