Product Description

Clematis 'Nelly Moser' is a stunning large flowering climbing Clematis which boasts silky, wavy petals which have the palest pink petals with a contrasting darker pink stripe down the centre. These hardy flowers are 10-15cm in diameter and begin to bloom in June with a second bloom flourishing in August, making this perennial great value for money. Clematis are fantastic climbers, where they work great up a trellis or walls in more shaded areas where they can reach an eventual height of 3m or can be pruned back to be more manageable. For gardeners with less space, they can also be planted within containers for the decking or patios. Lightly scented, these pretty flowers are sure to stand out against the dark, dense foliage and is a holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit. 9cm pot plants supplied.

Growing at a glance…

Clematis are vigorous climbing plants that reach various heights and spreads. Its best to prune back to keep control over the growth annually and initially they should be tied in to help direct the new growth. Apply a liquid fertiliser each yearduring the growing season, and water regularly during hot periods.Clematis can be planted October-May in areas with good drainage and plenty of sun is preferable. Soak in a bucket of water prior to planting and plant deep enough to allow plenty of room for root development. The roots of clematis like to be keptcool so it is a good idea to plant amongst low growing shrubs or bedding plants. If planting in containers, ensure the pot is large enough to allow the roots to expand/develop, as limitation of roots will certainly impede future success.
