Dinner Plate Dahlias are some of the most spectacular summer flowering plants available, producing huge flower heads that can reach 25cm/10in in diameter. This excellent mix is a perfect way to introduce vibrant colour to your garden borders or patio display and will provide you with the most outstanding cut flowers for the vase. Growing at a glance…
Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
