Product Description

Great Silence' is a large, decorative Dahlia that will add charm and beauty to your borders this summer. At first appearance they may look peach, but upon closer inspection you will see that the ruffled, double magenta-pink blooms are dusted with a blush of gold across the centre. The showstopping 10cm diameter flowers bloom atop dark brown stems and luscious green foliage and make excellent cut flowers for the vase. Flowers July-October. Height 80-90cm. Top-grade Dahlia tubers supplied.

Growing at a glance…

Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
