Growing at a glance…
Sow undercover from April to July or sow directly outdoors from April to May or September to November. Sow under cover in well-drained compost, covering the seeds lightly with a thin layer of compost. When planting directly outside, scatter the seeds for that natural effect in the flower bed. Germination usually takes 10-21 days when kept warm. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into larger pots and keep them somewhere cool. Finally, plant them outside, spaced 30cm apart in a sunny spot or in partial shade.
