Product Description

This delightful Lavender Munstead bears masses of fragrant blue flowers held on stiff stems. The flower spikes make this bushy plant highly attractive to bees and other pollinators. Flowering from June to September, this plant can be most appreciated when grown somewhere you will be able to catch their magnificent scent. When planted en masse they produce ground cover/low screening. Reaches an average height of 30-40cm and spread 50-60cm. Supplied as UK-grown 7cm module grown plants.

Planting Plant in prepared soil, with a hole large enough to firmly hold the module.
Soil Type Moderately fertile, well drained soil.

Growing at a glance…

Carefully trim back in April. If grown for drying cut the flowers before they open.Plant out as soon as possible. Plant in well dug prepared soil. Ideally planted to edge paths and borders as illustrated or in small groups around the garden.

When to Plant

Lavender plants are best planted is in the spring, usually from March to May time. Lavender prefers well-drained soil, in an area of the garden that catches plenty of sunrays! Can withstand particularly warm weather, ideal for gardens in the south.

Like we said, Lavender loves well-drained soil. This goes for either growing in the ground or in a container. To add drainage to soil, you can pop some horticultural grit to the bottom of the hole before planting. For pots and containers, plant them in something that has drainage holes.
