Erigeron karvinskianus is a clump-forming semi-evergreen perennial, which self-seeds prolifically. Ideally suited to gardens with free draining soil, this variety is very adaptable and will be at home in most gardens throughout the U.K.
In summer, a profusion of flowers can be seen, which continue right up until the first frosts. These flowers open white, but turn pink as they age, creating an ombre effect as the season progresses.
We recommend planting Erigeron karvinskianus along pathways, where flowers atop small branching stems will spill over and soften the edges of any hard landscaping. As they self-seed easily, it is not uncommon to see new plants pop up in unlikely places, such as in between cobbles, or even amongst gaps in walls.
A hard-working, great value addition to any garden, this variety has an RHS AGM and is listed on the RHS Plants for Pollinators.

Growing at a glance…
Deadhead regularly to encourage further growth spurts. Will tolerate full sun and partially shaded areas. Plant on arrival in well drained, prepared soil. Add a little bit of organic matter when planting and protect from strong winds. To plant them in the border, dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the entire root ball. Do this until the top of the soil from the module is just below the top of the pot. Fill around the modules with soil and firm them down gently. To plant them within a wall, find an opening and pack it halfway with soil. Then, take the module and pop it in the hole, making sure it's sturdy by packing soil around it. Water well.
