Eryngium planum is a robust perennial that produces eye-catching blue thistle-like foliage. These exquisite flowers bloom from July through to September and reach a height of up to one metre. Be the envy of your neighbours, and showcase such an original variety like Sea Holly in your displays! These are perfect for creating modern garden displays. They are also a great flower to have within the garden to attract butterflies and bees. Plant in well-drained fertile soil in direct sun for the best results. Supplied as first grade roots.

Growing at a glance…
Cut back eryngiums when their blooms begin to fade, as this will help encourage future growth. Plant in well-dug and prepared soil. Protect them from excessive winter wet. Ideal for planting in containers and front of border displays. To plant loose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for 1-3 hours before planting, then dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. Firm in gently and water well.
