The Eucalyptus Gunnii is also known as the Cider Gum Tree. Originating from Australia?s southern coast, Eucalyptus Gunnii is an extremely hardy and versatile evergreen variety which can be grown as either a fabulous specimen tree on its own, or a bushy garden shrub in the border. You could even use it as an alternative to screening. Gunnii is the most popular Eucalyptus species in the UK due to its versatility and reliability and is not just for garden, as sprigs of the grey-blue foliage can be brought inside and used in beautiful cool-themed flower arrangements. Like most Eucalyptus, as the plant matures the juvenile foliage is lost in favor of the elongated adult leaves, so keep it pruned if you want to maintain those lovely round leaves for flower arranging. Eucalyptus is also an excellent source of firewood, therefore it is a worthwhile investment to "grow your own" firewood with this fast grower. Gunnii is well known for its insect repelling qualities. Eventual height 3m. 40-50cm plants supplied in 1.5L pots.
